Stella Bilirakis

Stella Bilirakis is a graduate of the University of South Florida’s Judy Genshaft Honors College, earning her degree in Biomedical Sciences in December 2024. Passionate about supporting aspiring healthcare professionals, she founded the Medi-Futures USF Virtual Shadowing Program during her sophomore year and has since served as its student director. Under her leadership, the program has provided pre-health students at the University of South Florida with accessible opportunities for shadowing, mentorship, and networking. Committed to a career in medicine, Stella is on the pre-medical track with the goal of becoming a physician.

Valerie Riddle, MD

Dr. Valerie Riddle is the Associate Dean for Alumni Engagement at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and she is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. In addition to her role with USF, Dr. Riddle is the President and Owner of BioPharmAdvisors. Dr. Riddle graduated from the University of South Florida in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, and then in 1989 with a medical degree.

Olivia Brennan, MEd

Olivia Brennan, M.Ed. serves as the Director of the Office of Student Life and Engagement at USF Health. In her role, she plans, implements and evaluates programs, workshops, trainings, and events for students at Health that are centered on the four pillars of the WELL: Wellness, Engagement, Leadership, and Learning. In addition to her primary role, Olivia is a certified Health and Wellness Coach and certified Nutrition Coach through the National Academic of Sports Medicine (NASM). She enjoys promoting the eight dimensions of wellness and helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. In her personal time, Olivia enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and her rescue dog, a Rotteweiler Labrador mix named Tilly.

Angela Madalli

Angela Maddali is a junior majoring in biomedical science on the pre-PA track in the Judy Genshaft Honors College. She currently works part-time as a medical assistant at a multi-specialty family practice and hopes to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology in the future. Passionate about supporting families in need, she aspires to make a meaningful impact in the field. Angela first joined Medi-Futures as a participant in Spring 2023 before becoming an ambassador. She is excited to see the program grow and to help more students gain valuable experience through virtual shadowing.

Evelyn Staubitz

Evelyn Staubitz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in December 2024. Throughout her undergraduate education, she developed a strong passion for healthcare, leadership, and community engagement. She currently serves as a Secretary for MediFutures, where she leads communication between the executive team and program participants, addresses inquiries, and resolves issues to support smooth program operations. In addition, Evelyn is a certified Lifeguarding Instructor with the American Red Cross, equipping others with essential lifesaving skills. She is dedicated to continuing her education and professional growth in the medical field.

Merola Ishak

Merola Ishak is a third-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences in the pre-pharmacy track. She is a Provost Scholar and part of the Judy Genshaft Honors College. Apart from Medi-Futures USF, she has been a part of Red Cross for six years, International Humanitarian Law for five years, and is EMT certified. Through the Honors College, she was able to study abroad in Poland and Germany, allowing her to explore new cultures, using this to guide her future career endeavors in healthcare. She is very excited to help lead this amazing organization and bring it to its full potential!

Shanzay Khan

Shanzay Khan is the Programming Chair of Medi-Futures at the University of South Florida. She is a Junior studying Health Sciences on the pre-medical track. Shanzay plans to go to medical school and pursue a career in Pediatrics / Anesthesiology. Shanzay plans to become a primary advocate for individuals with special needs and incorporate that in her life as a future medical professional. In her spare time, she loves being with family, friends, watching a tv show, or learning new skills

Devon Bhatt

Devon Bhatt is a second-year biomedical sciences student in the pre-medical track. He hopes to become an anesthesiologist and would like to work in pediatrics. Outside of Medi-Futures USF, Devon does research at Moffitt cancer center and Tampa general. He is a certified EKG tech and has his CPR/BLS certifications. In his free time, he likes to travel, visit new places with his friends and watch Brooklyn nine-nine. He enjoys what he does with medifutures andhopes to work with the organization for as long as he can!

Erin is a senior majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology, on the pre-med track. She is currently applying to MD-PhD programs with the desire to be a physician-scientist. She also participates in research part-time at Moffitt Cancer Center. She got involved with Medi-Futures through participating in the program in the Fall 2023.

Bhargav Kadiyala

Bhargav Kadiyala is the Outreach Chair for Medifutures at the University of South Florida, Tampa campus. A passionate sophomore double-majoring in Biology and Biomedical Anthropology on the pre-med track, Bhargav is an active member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College and the Dean’s Student Leadership Society within the College of Arts and Sciences.
With a strong will to pursue medicine, he hopes to apply to MD/DO programs and specialize in Oncology in the future. He regularly volunteers at Advent Health Tampa, Moffitt Cancer Center, and USF L.A.U.N.C.H. Aside from academics he enjoys cooking, watching tv shows, and taking care of his two beloved bunnies.

Imane Erquizi is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology on the pre-med track. After participating in the Medi-Futures program and enjoying it, she decided to join the board. She is passionate about helping others and promoting equity in education. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing the piano, and cooking delicious meals!

Nicole Borges

Nicole Borges is one of the Outreach Chairs on the St. Petersburg campus majoring in Biology, on the pre-medical track. She is medical assistant in internal medicine and is currently preparing to apply to medical schools following her graduation in Spring 2025. She has been participating in the program as of spring 2023. She aspires to become a future Neurologist.

Dielle D’lima

Dielle D’Lima is a USF Alumna, graduating with a bachelors in science. During her time at USF, Dielle was originally drawn to Medi-Futures for the opportunity to earn virtual shadowing hours, but soon found herself deeply committed to the programs mission. Dielle went from being a participant, to an ambassador, and now holds the position of St. Petersburg Outreach Co-Chair. She is currently in a gap year, with the goal of attending medical school.

My name is Lindsay Page, and I’m a Junior studying Biomedical Sciences. Currently, I serve as a Student Government Campus Council Chair in the Legislative Branch. Additionally, I am in the USF honors program, campus annual funding committee and a member of the USF ambassadors. In my free time I enjoy working out, traveling, volunteering at the hospital and being in the chemistry laboratory.

Alyssa Alvarado

Alyssa Alvarado is a senior majoring in Health Sciences, with a Concentration in Biomedical Sciences. She is interested in pursuing Mortuary Science or Biomedical Anthropology. Outside of Medi-Futures USF, Alyssa is a certified phlebotomist and a dental assistant. In her free time Alyssa spends time with family, working out, and enjoying nature hikes and fishing. Alyssa is planning on volunteering her time to a local hospice center aiding in the death process. She is excited to be a part of Medi-Futures USF, and helping students find their passion!
