Ma. Isabelle Delos Reyes

Isabelle is an undergraduate student at the University of North Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience. She plans to continue her education in medical school with interests in Neurocritical Care and Vascular Neurology. At UNF, Isabelle serves as the Vice President of Marketing for the Presidential Envoys and President of the Biomedical Pre-Professional Club. She is also a Supplemental Instructor Cohort Leader for Student Academic Success Services supporting Behavioral Neuroscience, Organic Chemistry I, and Intro to Chemistry, and is a Medical Assistant with Baptist Health Jax. Isabelle has been involved in a wide variety of research including: CYBERDYNE robotics for post-stroke rehab, UNF PACT (Preventing Alzheimer’s with Cognitive Training), and HABIT (Healthy Action to Benefit Independence & Thinking) which have allowed her to explore her interests at the cross-section of Neurology and technology. She is passionate about innovative, holistic, and equitable advancements in education and healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys the beautiful local beaches, watching the Jags, and mastering her culinary skills.

Gabby is a dedicated and proactive Behavioral Neuroscience major in the Hicks Honors College at the University of North Florida. As an aspiring MD-PhD candidate, she is committed to merging her passion for medicine and scientific inquiry to make a lasting impact on healthcare.

Elizabeth Stotz-Potter, PhD

Dr. Stotz-Potter is the Pre-Health Professional Advisor and an Associate Lecturer in the Biology Department. She is a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAPH) and her job is to help students become strong candidates for all biomedical programs. She earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine in Medical Neurobiology. Therefore, her favorite class is Cell and Molecular Neuroscience. Dr. Stotz-Potter enjoys spending her free time with her husband and old puppy.

Sophie Lewis

Sophie Lewis is a junior majoring in Behavioral Neuroscience and minoring in Chemistry. She would like to go to medical school with an interest in oncology. Sophie serves as the secretary for the UNF Biomedical Pre-Professionals Club, as well as the President of UNF Books & Hooks, which is a club that knits hats for UF Health’s oncology patients. She enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time with friends and family.

Mailene Miranda

My name is Mailene Miranda and I am a junior here at UNF! I’m double majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Behavioral Neuroscience. I’m currently doing research in the MoonLight lab that focuses on the field of neuroscience and bioinformatics. Additionally, I’m the social media coordinator for both the Books&Hooks Club and the Pickleball Club as I love making creative posts and designs! My hobbies and interests are a lot of pickleball, running, reading, and playing piano!

Bianca’s major is Biomedical Sciences and she is currently pursuing a career in medicine in hopes of working within pediatrics. She is also a part of Brainwave at Mayo Clinic and she has volunteered at a clinic for underserved communities, both of which she is very passionate. Her hobbies include painting, dancing, and playing soccer.

Taha is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biomedical Sciences and is pursuing a career in medicine with the hopes of an MD program. On campus, other clubs he is a part of are the MSA and Research Ambassadors Club. Taha is interested in aiding others in their journey across the medical field, also he is also interested in community building to help others grow.

Jessica Hasty

Jessica is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Leadership. She is in the Hicks Honors College, the President of the Hicks Honors College Book Club, and is involved in intramural sports including Softball, Flag Football, and Soccer. She is an upcoming Junior here at UNF and is a member of the Biomedical Sciences Pre-Professionals Club as well as the RUF Church Group here on campus. Some of her hobbies include trying to learn how to surf, playing sports, mainly football and basketball, reading, and spending a lot of time with her dog, family, and best friend Brooke.

Sahayla is majoring in Health Sciences with a concentration in public health and a double minor in health education and Spanish. She is pursuing a career as either a Physician’s Associate or an Anesthesiologist Assistant. Additionally, she is also an e-board member of Medlife and a member of the National Society of Black Women in Medicine and the American Medical Women’s Association. She is passionate about these organizations because they focus on the fields she would like to go into and focus on helping women in the medical field. She is also a part of the Black Student Union and the Student Conduct Board. Her hobbies include playing soccer, the alto saxophone, and hanging out with her friends.
