Chloe Biby
My name is Chloe, and I am the Student Director at Medi-Futures Florida Tech. I am a sophomore studying Biomedical Science as part of the Pre-Med track. One thing I love about Medi-Futures is that it allows students to explore/figure out their passion in the field of pre-health thanks to its speaker presentations from a wide variety of healthcare professionals!

My name is Sierra, and I am the Secretary at Medi-Futures Florida Tech. I am a sophomore studying Genomics and Molecular Genetics with a minor in psychology. One thing that I love about Medi-Futures is the accessibility to an array of healthcare professionals and the ability to learn about different career opportunities.

Taryn O’Malley
My name is Taryn, and I am the Campus Ambassador at Medi-Futures Florida Tech. I am a Sophmore and am currently studying Genomics & Molecular Genetics with a dual major in Biomedical Science on the Pre-Med track. One thing that I love about Medi-Futures is the accessible opportunity it provides for students to learn more about career paths in medicine.

My name is Valentina Hufschmid. I’m one of the ambassadors of Medi-Futures in FIT. I’m a freshman majoring in Biomedical Science with a Pre-med track. I’m really excited for this program to learn more about medical school and all the specialties for the future.
Student director
Sara Sornat
Sara is the Student Director of Medi-Futures at Florida Tech. She is a junior studying biomedical science on the pre-med track. Outside of her studies, she is an active member of the Pre-Med Club, serving as the Vice President for the 2023-2024 term. She is also involved in research and works as a medical scribe in the emergency department of a local hospital system.

Lee Scheinbart, MD
Dr. Lee Scheinbart earned his MD at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and established his clinical practice of Hematology/Oncology in East Central Florida. Throughout his career he has built multiple clinical programs and displayed leadership in healthcare, becoming a Certified Physician Executive, then a Vice President of Medical Affairs, and later a Chief Medical Officer. He presently serves as Assistant Professor and Chief Health Affairs Officer at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. His focus of research is on the role of interprofessional leadership development programs and their impact on organizational commitment. His leadership writings include a chapter in The CMO’s Essential Guidebook as well as work appearing in the Healthcare Administration Leadership & Management Journal (HALM).
