Detchina Rameau is currently a senior at Florida Atlantic University. Detchina is a first-generation student and is majoring in biological science. She currently works in the physics department as a work study student while also having a second job as a team lead at Direct Primary Care. In her free time, she likes to watch shows and spend time with loved ones.

Andrew graduated with a dual degree in Marketing and Legal Studies from Tulane University. He completed his hospitality finance MBA at a renown Swiss hospitality program prior to embarking on a career in different sectors of the hospitality industry. The birth of his little girl two years ago encouraged him to change careers and pursue his dream of becoming a physician. Andrew is currently finishing his Pre-health Post Baccalaureate studies at FAU and looks forward to applying in this upcoming medical school application cycle. Fun facts about Andrew are that he enjoys DJaying beats and grooves, cooking extravagant dinners, traveling around Europe, NY sports teams, and spending time with his family.

Hello, everyone!! My name is Yara Ramadan and I am an ambassador for the FAU Medi-Futures program. I am in my Junior year as a Dual Enrollment student at Florida Atlantic, where I am studying to pursue a career in Healthcare. Shortly, I would be blessed to become a Cardiothoracic surgeon and have the opportunity to look after others when they truly need it most. I spend much of my time studying at a library or cafe, or staying active on my runs and workout routine. I am incredibly excited for another successful semester of Medi-Futures!

Wilson Charles is a senior, born and raised in South Florida. He is a first-generation student studying Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University. Wilson is pursuing his dream of attending medical school in hopes of becoming a Dermatologist. Whilst focusing on his academics and working, Wilson volunteers his time with Crisis Text Line as a trained Crisis Counselor helping people move from a hot moment to a cool moment.
